favorite Christmas song of the year

I am just listening to my new Starbucks Christmas CD, the second song is "I heard the bells" I love this song. The message is one of such hope. there is this picture of despair and then my favorite line, " God is not dead nor does he sleep. the wrong will fail the right prevail with peace on earth good will to men" what hope!
I get so fed up with all the commercialism of Christmas, I'm so tired of people being stressed out over the most wonderful day of the whole year! Christmas is my favorite holiday I hate that people have turned it into worse than nothingness by causing stress and greed to rule the day!
How I long to experience Christmas like I did when I was little, with so much innocence and joy. May I know the joy of Christmas in a new and fresh way! With peace on earth, good will to men!

Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow!!! + Amazing Grace

Wow, it has been snowing since yesterday afternoon!! there is a beautiful blanket of white all over everything! It is so pretty! but I must confess I don't like driving in it. scary! nevertheless, snowing it is, and I'm ok with that. it makes being inside doing homework, and reading a book so much more cozy. Plus I get to put my cute new rubber boots to use! so it's all good!
Besides all the snow....I saw the movie Amazing Grace yesterday, awesome!! it was very good! I thought it was amazing how even after William Wilberforce had given up on trying to abolish the slave trade, God would not let him quit that easy, and I'm so glad He didn't! How awesome to have such a call of God upon your life. and yet I believe that we all have a call that is just as important on our lives, I just pray that God will continue to show me mine, and not let me off without accomplishing it!

Ready

Ready. I am so ready! ready to be done with this quarter of school! ready to be married! ready to move forward with what God has planned for me!
So this quarter is almost over, that is excellent! only a week left! praise God! This was probably my toughest quarter, lots of work, and not much motivation. but it is almost done, and God is faithful and has given me grace to make it this far, and to finish strong.
As for getting married, I think that it has just recently settled in as a real thing. Its true....I'm getting married! I've been engaged for over a year now, and I just now get it! and boy am I ready! Some people say that long engagements are hard. well for me that just has not proven to be true until just now. I know these last few months will fly by, but I don't know if they will go soon enough! I'm trying to stay focused on school, and being content with the moment. But it is proving a challenge. I know Jordan feels the same way. Being so far apart and not seeing each other very often is rough, and we are ready to see each other everyday!
And as for what God has planned for be, I'm just along for the ride, in awe of everyday, and the grace that is constantly upon me. Praise the Lord!
Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Blogging

So I've thought about it, and I need to be better about keeping a journal and this is a great way to do it. I have lots of thoughts, this may help me get them out. Also I'm a song writer and I've been convicted that I need to cultivate and practice that gift and not just expect to get better with out practice. Thus I am blogging (whatever the heck that is!). enjoy.
